Lewinsky Sonnet

I do not care who fucks the president.
I watch a whole populace obsessed with it,
Who seem to miss the coup self evident.
Even my emotions are tweaked by it.

We; an adolescent society
with a button to destroy the planet
That imagines only pornography.
Jacking off on prime time and internet.

And while we are so cleverly distracted
By an unresolvable quagmire,
What real evil is being contracted
Lurking in the shadows of the bonfire.

Are we so immature that we miss
This is media rape using bad kiss.
